Newsletters

We have been receiving a quarterly newsletter from The Siberian Lutheran Mission Society for many years. Check out this link to see a current copy of the newsletter. I am always amazed at what these people endure in their daily lives and how God finds a way to bring the truth of Christ and His Word to His people. Their struggles with faith and forgiveness are the same as ours...and their confession of faith unites us a one in Christ. Read them all, you will be glad you did. And, if you are able, I would print them off and share them with others.

The days of June

Benjamin is off on a visit and since I have a few minutes to call my own I thought I would update my blog.....hmmmmmm.

Tonight we begin the annual symposium of the Concordia Catechetical Academy. This is the fourteenth symposium. (I remember celebrating our tenth anniversary at the symposium...which was not our first time attending, so we have been going for awhile.) It is one of the highlights of my year. Tonight we will attend Divine Service with saints (and also dear friends) from all over the country. The singing is always amazing and a foretaste of the singing we will hear in heaven. Tomorrow I have the joy of listening to great theologians for the entire day gleaning what I am able from their words and meditating on them in days to come. On Friday we will continue to listen and then end the day with a picnic. I never want the picnic to end...it is too much fun finally being able to catch-up with old friends. I treasure that time.

On Saturday I will be driving to Reedsburg where Hannah, Mary, Ben and I will spend the night. Then on Sunday we are off to Minnesota, along with my folks, to drop Hannah off at the Lutheran Summer Music Camp. I am so excited for her to have this opportunity! She received generous grants and scholarships and was able to pay for the remainder on her own. She will be gone for a month studying piano and voice...two of her great loves. When we return in July to pick her up we will be able to attend various concerts to hear what the kids have accomplished. How cool is that?

So, that is what is going on here...oh, and Ben is now one year old and tomorrow my true love and I will celebrate our 21st anniversary. We have now been married half of our lives!
